Viterbo’s business administration program is broad and flexible and provides students with a solid foundation in a variety of major business topics, including marketing, finance, management, ethics, and law. Students can design an academic program that concentrates on their areas of interest and prepares them for employment in today’s rapidly evolving business world.

Policy
  • All students pursuing the BBA degree must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) in the major requirement courses, and students must receive a letter grade of C (2.0) or higher in each of these courses. If a grade of CD or below is earned in any of these courses, the course must be repeated until a grade of C or higher is achieved.
  • All transfer students seeking an undergraduate degree offered by the Dahl School of Business must earn a minimum of 15 credits of business coursework at Viterbo University.

The Servant Leadership Embedded Certificate is embedded within the Business Core curriculum. Students will practice ethical decision making, learn to communicate through storytelling, develop contemplation and discernment, understand how to build community and how to support the Common Good.

    Complete one Franciscan Values and Traditions course (VUSM-100 level course). Transfer or re-entry students may have one or two mission seminars waived based on the number of transfer or completed credits.
    Complete one Living in a Diverse World course. Transfer or re-entry students may have one or two mission seminars waived based on the number of transfer or completed credits.
    Complete one Social Justice and Equity course.
    Complete one The Ethical Life course (VUSM-400 level).
    Complete three credits of historical analysis.
    Complete three credits of literary analysis.
    Complete four credits of scientific reasoning in the natural sciences.
    Complete three credits of scientific reasoning in the social sciences.
    Complete three credits of artistic engagement.

Business Administration (transfer agreement) Major (Bachelor of Business Administration)

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree must have been earned after May 2006 for Western Technical College (WTC) graduates. Students may not begin these specifically-articulated transfer programs or be considered a student in these programs until the AAS degree has been completed and documented on the technical college transcript. A student who did not complete the AAS degree could instead complete the requirements of the general major, and any completed courses of the AAS would count toward the major, but in order to come into this articulated transfer agreement program, the AAS must be completed prior to transfer to Viterbo. The student cannot be dually enrolled.
