Viterbo University will present the musical James and the Giant Peach at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21–Sunday, April 22 and Saturday, April 28–Sunday, April 29 at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.
Area students and their parents are invited to an evening of fun demonstrations and hands-on science experiments at Viterbo University’s annual “Fired Up for Science” event from 6–8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25. The event was rescheduled from April 18.
The Viterbo University All Student Show will open with a reception from 5–6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 in the Viterbo University Gallery.

Receive a free treat when you thank a benefactor or Viterbo community member by writing a note and taking a photo with the Instagram frame – props available. Philanthropy Week Fact: Many campus buildings have been donated including Reinhart Center, Mathy Center, and the School of Nursing Building. Donations have also gone towards renovations for Brophy Center including the finance lab and the Library in Murphy. Celebrate Earth Day at Viterbo Tuesday, April 17 with several events.

 

The Viterbo community is invited to attend “Having Said That…Two Decades of Viterbo Lectures” presentation by Bill Reese, religious studies, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 in San Damiano Chapel. Free root beer will follow the presentation.

 

An “Excel 102” professional development event for employees will be held Wednesday, April 18 from 11:10 a.m.–12:15 p.m. in Brophy Center 106. Participants will learn how to use functions, edit rows and columns, print set up, and page orientation. This course is designed for employees who feel comfortable moving around in Microsoft Excel, but would like a little more knowledge. It will be presented by Katrina Volkert, business. The Viterbo Environmental Responsibilities Committee is encouraging the campus community to reduce paper consumption and to reduce the use of printers on campus.

 

Dietetics interns will be hosting a grocery store tour Wednesday, April 25 from 6–7 p.m. The tour will cover the importance of label reading and common marketing tools used to advertise products. The group will also discuss common barriers that are faced when introducing new foods into the diet as well as providing participants with education on how to eat healthfully on a budget. This event will take place at Festival Foods in Onalaska, 1260 Crossing Meadows Dr. Onalaska. Looking to volunteer? Students are conducting a survey to better understand user needs and get feedback on students’ use of the online volunteering platform, UGetConnected. The survey should take 2–5 minutes to complete. The data provided will be kept anonymous and confidential. Individuals who complete the survey will have the opportunity to put their names in a drawing for a gift cards of $20 to a business of their choice. Complete this survey about improving the resources available to students in finding volunteer opportunities.

Fired Up for Science is Wednesday, April 18 from 6–8 p.m. in Reinhart Center and the Fine Arts Center. Area students and their parents are invited to an evening of fun demonstrations and hands-on science and math experiments.

 

The Viterbo communinity is invited to attend the Student Alumni Ambassadors’ Soup and Stories Wednesday, April 18 from 6-7:30 pm in the Reinhart Center Boardroom.
