Viterbo University’s outstanding Platinum Edition show choir and special guests will present an evening of great Halloween-themed singing and dancing as they present "Platinum Edition: Halloween Spooktacular" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Robin Hood will be held from 3:45–6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center.
Retired Wisconsin DNR wildlife experts Mike Foy and Tom Hauge will present “A Proposal to Halt Chronic Wasting Disease in Wisconsin” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 in the Viterbo University School of Nursing Building Collins Auditorium room 196.

4:30 p.m. Master of Social Work Information Session – School of Nursing Building 101. Learn about the process for selecting programs and applying for graduate studies in social work. Pizza and beverages will be provided.

Viterbo health services will hold flu shot clinics Friday, Oct. 5 from 2–5 p.m. in the Student Development Center; Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 4–6 p.m. in the Student Union; and Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 1–3 p.m. in the Student Development Center. Cost is $16 for employees and $6 for students. If you are unable to come to one of these clinics, contact health services at 608-796-3806 or email Sue Danielson to schedule an appointment.

 

Study Away Application Deadline Extended: There is still time to take advantage of study away programs to China and Atlanta for Spring 2019. Programs will continue to accept applications through Oct. 12. If you are hesitant to apply because of potential schedule conflicts for Spring or are unsure what the course might count for, connect with the faculty program leaders—Atlanta (Matthew Bersagel Braley) and China (Andrew Hamilton or Pam Dixon) to discuss concerns. You might be surprised by what is possible. Application forms can be found here.

The Viterbo Student Dietetics Association is hosting its annual pasta dinner from 4–7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 in the School of Nursing Building 195. Dine-in or take-out and enjoy spaghetti and meatballs or chicken alfredo. Hors d'oeuvres will be available starting at 4 p.m. when the social hour begins. The Caf will be closed for lunch of Thursday, Oct. 4 in support of St Francis Week and Franny Fest. Instead, the meal will be held in the Assisi Courtyard. The Caf will close at 10 a.m. and re-open at 2:30 p.m.

Flood Relief Friday: Town of Shelby - Sign up to serve the Town of Shelby community on Friday, Oct 5. A bus will leave from La Crosse at 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon and will return no later than 4:30 p.m., but earlier if projects allow. The group will be assisting Town of Shelby park officials with removing debris from the creek/destroyed bridge area, re-mulching and re-painting playground equipment and outbuildings, removing debris from fields to prepare for landscaping restoration, and a multitude of other projects.
