In conjuction with the city of La Crosse's Global Initiatives Week activities, Viterbo University Student Engagement promotes a variety of on- and off-campus educational programs and learning opportunities around global issues. Friday, November 3

Global Initiatives Week Kickoff Event, 4-7 p.m., Myrick Park: Celebrate the beginning of the fifth annual Global Initatives Week at this free event! Enjoy free appetizers provided by local restaurants, cultural celebration through dance and music performances, information about our region's global and cultural connections, and more! 

​November 3-November 10

Dia de los Muertos and the Month of Remembrance, All Day, San Damiano Chapel: Join Viterbo Univerity's Spanish Club and Breaking Barriers Diversity Club in celebrating Dia de lost Muertos and the Month of Remembrance! In this traditional ritual, an altar is decorated and photographs of loved one's who have passed away are placed to remember, celebrate, and pray for their spirits. You are encouraged to bring photographs of your loved one's who have passed to our very own altar of remembrance in San Damiano Chapel. Feel free to leave them there for the entire month of November.

SGA's Ancestry Maps, All Day, The Cafeteria and The Library: Visit one of these two locations and help celebrate our ancestral diversity by marking where your family is from!

Film: The Dialogue, 7 p.m., Nursing Center Rm. 196: Sponsored by the United Nations of Viterbo, this documentary follows four American and four Chinese students as they travel through Southwest China, learning about each-other's cultures.
