Objective
To recognize, foster, and stimulate the development of creative opportunities and efforts to engage students in scholarship work.
Eligibility
Teachers at Viterbo University.
Nomination
Letters of nomination may be originated by students, Viterbo graduates, fellow teachers, and administrators.
Criteria
The teacher engages successfully in one or more of the following:
- Mentors students through advanced study, joint research, and/or creative works which expand student learning.
- Has engaged in significant scholarly and/or creative activity leading to significant publication and/or recognition beyond the Viterbo community.
- Has engaged in significant scholarly endeavors on campus which promote the professional development of the faculty.
Award
The Alec Chiu Memorial Award will be presented at the Rose Awards.
