Jewish American Heritage Month #OURSHAREDHERITAGE

May is Jewish American Heritage Month!

First proclaimed on April 20, 2006 by President George W. Bush as a result of a push by the Jewish Museum of Florida and South Florida Jewish Community, along with Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL) and Senator Arlen Specter (PA), Jewish American Heritage Month has been recognized every year since.  The month of May was chosen due to the celebration of the 350th Anniversary of American Jewish History in May 2004.
