VITERBO UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AT NOON SERIES TO FEATURE LA CROSSE WARMING CENTER COORDINATOR KARLA HEIN AND PODCASTER ZOE DE BOER FEB. 5

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Leadership at Noon Series will continue Monday, Feb. 5 in the Fine Arts Center FSPA Lobby with Catholic Charities La Crosse Warming Center Coordinator Karla Hein and hello good humans podcast host Zoe de Boer. Both are Viterbo University alumni.

The format of the presentation will be de Boer interviewing Hein in the style of the hello good humans podcast, which brings stories of social justice, faith, friendship, art, inspiration, and authenticity to listeners all over the world. The two will discuss how Hein incorporates servant leadership into her role at the La Crosse Warming Center as well as the servant leadership elements of compassion, empathy, and treating everyone with dignity and respect.

In addition to serving as the coordinator of the La Crosse Warming Center, Hein is also Catholic Charities of the Diocese of La Crosse’s Certified Instructor for Crisis Prevention Intervention. She is active in the recovery community and recently celebrated 18 years of sobriety. Hein sees her life and life experiences as a gift from God. De Boer is the director of Youth, Young Adult, and Mercy Ministries at Onalaska United Methodist Church as well podcast host.

Audience members are encouraged to bring unused hand warmers, hats, gloves, and socks to donate to the La Crosse Warming Center.

All Leadership at Noon series events are held from noon–1 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Complimentary soup, bread, and dessert is served at noon and the presentation starts at 12:20 p.m. No tickets or registration is required, but seating is first come, first served.

Parking is available in any Viterbo parking lot and a parking pass is not required during Leadership at Noon events. The presentations will not be recorded or live-streamed.
