This course introduces the concepts of diseases and illnesses in a person's biological system. It utilizes a holistic focus regarding the disease process, associated physiologic responses and manifestations, and diagnostic testing of selected health alterations. Clinical judgement is used in the application of the nursing process. Prerequisites: BIOL 114, CHEM 106 or 121, admission to professional nursing sequence.
