Viterbo University has launched a military aligned student programming initiative that includes the appointment of a full-time director to help military veterans and their family members make a successful transition to college and civilian life.
Rick Trietley has been named Vice President for Student Affairs at Viterbo University. He will begin at Viterbo July 10.
Viterbo University has received a $134,570 grant to develop and establish a Franciscan Social Justice Youth Theology Institute. The grant is part of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s High School Youth Theology Institute initiative, which is designed to encourage young people to explore theological traditions, ask questions about the moral dimensions of contemporary issues, and examine how their faith calls them to lives of service.
The paintings, drawings, textile, and sculpture of guest artist Patrick Schmidt will be featured in an exhibit entitled “Digitizing Myth: Archetypes and Identities” opening with reception at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 in the Viterbo University Gallery.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to submit nominations for the Outstanding Student Leader Award.  This award will be presented to 3 to 5 students at the Student Leadership Recognition Banquet.  Written nominations must provide the name of the a senior student and evidence that she or he has: (a) exhibited continuous exemplary leadership, (b) served as well-respected role models, and (c)
