The College Seal is How Big?!
Imagine a Viterbo College seal that is 24 feet by 24 feet. If you can’t visualize a seal that large, see for yourself this Tuesday at noon (just after the college forum) in the NEW Viterbo Court. The seal, which is situated between the entryways of Murphy Center and the Student Activity Center, will be unveiled Tuesday, Aug. 24 at noon.
"Fore" a good cause
The La Crosse Country Club was filled to capacity August 16, with 144 golfers (and a waiting list of 20) teeing off to benefit the Viterbo College Athletic Department. This is only the second year for this event—which makes the outstanding turnout even more remarkable. Congratulations to new athletic director Barry Fried, all the coaches, and the dozens of student athletes who were present to help create the success that was so evident. "The winning score?" you ask. A thirteen-under-par score of 59 yielded first place!
Avoid the rush that goes with the first few days of classes. If you intend to purchase one of the new $20 parking permits, please do so during inservice week and avoid the long lines and delays that go hand in hand with the arrival of students. Permits are available from Marcia at the switchboard.
New students’ move-in runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Thursday. Please do not park near the residence halls that day. Your cooperation is appreciated!
This Wednesday (Aug. 25) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., we will be taking faculty and staff photos in MC 228. No advance appointment necessary. These photos become extremely valuable for publicity and other purposes. Anyone wishing to receive a copy of his/her photo for personal purposes may request one at no charge.
