LA CROSSE, Wis. – Area school-aged youth and their parents are invited to attend “Fired Up for Science: Hands-on Experiences and Experiments for Youth” from 6–8 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Viterbo University.

“Fired Up for Science” will feature “cool” science demonstrations, hands-on participation, and a science show that will feature a rocket launch, experiments with liquid nitrogen, and demonstrations involving intense flames and explosions in a controlled environment.

“The evening will give students and their parents the chance to get excited about science,” said Tammy Clark, Viterbo science department faculty member. “The show and experiments will appeal to all ages.”

The event will be held in Viterbo’s D.B. Reinhart Center for Ethics, Science, and Leadership and is presented by Viterbo science faculty members and students in the Science Outreach Club. It is free and open to the public and registration is not required.
