Tenure Track Faculty Position - Criminal Justice
University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the
Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice beginning August 18, 2014. Responsibilities will include oversight and
teaching of a new online criminal justice administration degree and
undergraduate courses in the traditional criminal justice program.
The successful candidate will teach 12
credits per semester, advise students, and participate in the university
community. We seek candidates who are
committed to a liberal arts undergraduate education and who will involve
students in active learning and undergraduate research. Minimum qualifications
include a Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminal justice administration, or related
field (A.B.D. considered); online teaching experience and practical experience
in the criminal justice system preferred.

Tenure Track Faculty Position - Nursing
The Viterbo University Nursing Department invites applications for a
full-time, tenure track position available in Adult Health Nursing for the BSN
program beginning August 2014.
Responsibilities include: teaching in classroom, laboratory,
simulation and clinical settings; teaching core curriculum seminars; scholarly
activity; professional and community service; collaborating with colleagues in
team teaching; flexibility in teaching schedule.
Qualifications: master’s degree in nursing with expertise in clinical
discipline and active WI RN license required; doctorate desirable; teaching
experience including development of simulation scenarios preferred.

Coordinator/Nurse Practitioner Graduate Faculty
Viterbo University seeks applications for a 10-month combined administrative/teaching
position within the post BSN to DNP and post MSN to DNP nurse practitioner
programs. Choice of tenure track or clinical appointment.
Qualifications: Masters of Science in Nursing and
certification as Family Nurse Practitioner with three years’ practice
experience required; DNP (preferred) or DNP substantially in progress. Teaching
experience desirable. Must be eligible
for licensure as APNP in Wisconsin.

Tenure Track Faculty Position - Music Department - Piano
The Viterbo University Music Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure track assistant professor position in piano for nine-month academic appointment beginning August 14, 2014. Responsibilities: teach applied piano and maintain a quality studio of undergraduate piano majors. Teach additional courses as assigned, which could include piano pedagogy and literature, music theory, piano lab classes, accompanying, music appreciation, and a core curriculum seminar. Develop and implement a recruiting plan for building the piano area. Participate in departmental/university advising, committee, and service activities. Maintain an active professional profile on a regional/national level that includes solo performances, master classes, and judging.
Qualifications: completed doctorate in piano preferred (doctorate in
progress or ABD considered), experience as an applied piano teacher at

Tenure Track Faculty Position - Music Theatre
Viterbo University invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in music theatre to join our
highly-regarded Department of Theatre & Music Theatre. Our exclusively
undergraduate program offers conservatory-like training built on a values-based
liberal arts foundation to prepare young artists for careers in theatre. A
selective student recruitment and admissions process draws talent from across
the nation; our graduates work on Broadway, in regional theatres, in schools
and with arts organizations in the U.S and internationally.
The successful candidate for this position will
be an artist and teacher with professional experience in musical theatre, a
gift for creative collaboration and a demonstrated ability to educate and
mentor aspiring performers. Primary responsibilities include teaching music theatre performance lab, music theatre scene
study, acting for singers, audition techniques and directing one to two productions
each year. Additional responsibilities may include teaching liberal arts courses
for the core curriculum and other theatre courses based on the needs of the
department and qualifications of the candidate. Willingness to actively help recruit
prospective majors is essential and may involve travel to cities on the
National Unified Auditions tour and to state theatre festivals. Participation
in departmental/university advising, committee and service activities is
expected. Qualifications: Terminal
degree (MFA preferred) with robust knowledge of the
professional musical theatre world, including professional acting experience,
directing ability, and strong musical skills. Prior
collegiate-level teaching experience and the ability
to work collaboratively are essential. Certification in one or more recognized
voice/speech training systems is a plus. Appointment: nine-month
academic appointment beginning August 14, 2014.

Tenure Track Faculty Position – Mathematical Biologist
Viterbo University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Natural Science and Mathematics Division. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory mathematics courses for science majors (and occasionally non-majors), and introductory and advanced courses in biology related to area of expertise. The area of specialization is open, however preference will be given to research interests that are related to human biology, cellular/molecular biology, or health issues. The successful candidate should be committed to assisting the integration of math across the science curriculum and promoting student success in math and science, particularly in the lower division courses.
The successful candidate will teach 12 credits per semester, and be expected to establish research that involves undergraduates. In addition, the successful candidate will: advise students, participate in both the math and biology department and in the university community. The start date for the position is mid-August 2014.
Qualifications: Ph.D. and prior teaching experience is preferred.
