The Busy Student Retreat is perfect opportunity to take some time for yourself especially in the midst of your busy college schedules. Here are some important details to the Retreat.
The Retreat Design:
There are many elements to the retreat but the main expectation asks the student to meet with a spiritual director for four 45 minute sessions over the course of the two and half weeks as well as spending 15 minutes or more in prayer each day. I would like to emphasize that spiritual directors are not counselors, they are considered compassionate listeners that will help students find the wisdom from their own thoughts and words. You share only as much as you want/need to share. Often, these conversations assist in finding answers to questions regarding purpose, future, prayer life, etc… the possibilities are endless.
There will be many optional opportunities to engage in additional moments of prayer, programs & community building activities. They will be announced when you receive your welcome packet.
Lastly, there is an opening session that introduces the students to the theme of the retreat. The Opening Session is highly encouraged to attend, but if you can't make it, please let us know and we can make arrangements.
