BioChem Environmental Club

Viterbo's BioChem Environmental Club

What is the BioChem Environmental Club?

  • Club for students who want to learn leadership skills, meet new people, get involved on campus and in the community in addition to having lots of fun and making memories!

Goals of the Viterbo University BioChem Environmental Club

  • Moving beyond the classroom.

  • Exploring the local and regional scientific facilities.

  • Having Fun.

While membership primarily consists of science students, we encourage non-science students, faculty, and staff to actively participate in the club.

While many of the activities are scientific in nature, recreational activities are planned as well, giving members a chance to escape the rigors of studying or other stress.

Here’s an idea of what we do:

  • Arrange annual field trips to places like power plants, the local U.S. Geological Survey Station, Argonne National Laboratory, medical schools, graduate schools, etc.

  • Organize speakers for professional scientific talks on campus.

  • Plan weekend hiking trips and camping trips.

  • Annual High-way clean-ups and cookouts

  • Chili and taco feeds for social interaction

Always open to new ideas and accepting to new faces!
