Brian Loeffler ’11
Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Spanish minor
Career: Fastenal, Inc. Customs and Brokerage Manager
Brian Loeffler had plenty of choices when it came to college. He was undecided until he visited Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wis.
“I found a beautiful campus, strong programs, and great people,” he said.
A business major with a Spanish minor, Loeffler made the most of his experience. He spent a semester studying in Barcelona, Spain, where he had the opportunity to travel to eight different countries and to develop his Spanish skills. He also developed a deep interest in international business.
“One of the events at Viterbo really changed my life,” he said. “The Dahl School of Business welcomes many speakers to campus, and one of them happened to be Will Oberton, CEO and President of Fastenal. I approached him after his presentation and during the conversation he asked if I was interested in an internship. I jumped at the chance. That was my foot in the door to what has become an incredible job.”
Starting his career at Fastenal upon graduating from Viterbo, Loeffler quickly rose through the ranks and is now the Customs and Brokerage Manager at Fastenal, a Fortune 500 industrial supply company.
“I am living a good life and am earning a good living,” he said. “Viterbo transformed my life academically, personally, and professionally. I could not be happier with my decision to attend Viterbo University.”
