CWD: Is it Serious and What Can We Do? Presented by Bryan Richards

Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a growing threat to the region’s whitetail deer population and our hunting traditions. This informational session will cover disease basics, the distribution of CWD throughout North American and Wisconsin, scientific advances in assessing CWD, and potential effects on the deer herd. Bryan Richards is the Emerging Disease Coordinator at the USGS National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) in Madison. Sponsored by the La Crosse County Conservation Alliance and the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership. Free and open to the public.

Interns in Action

Students planning on doing an internship should attend to learn about possible internship sites and to connect with current internship supervisors. Current student interns will present posters sharing information about their internship experience. No registration required.

Etiquette Dinner

Students of all majors: Learn professional dining etiquette, networking skills, and how to dress on a budget. Professional etiquette consultant, Lyn Zimmerman, of Essential Details, will share ideas about how to present yourself as a polished professional. Fee is $10. Registration is limited to 50 students and will fill quickly. Register and pay in the career services office, Murphy Center room 374, by Friday, March 30.
