The Refrigerator
When you are feeling hungry
Come and visit me.
It's easier than going
On a grocery shopping spree.
I can satisfy your hunger,
And I can quench your thirst.
There's so much food inside me
It will make your stomach burst.
If you cannot clean your plate,
Just put it in my fold.
I'll protect it with my frosty breath
And keep it safe from mold.
If food is left in me too long,
Then I'll be very mad.
I'll send the fungi on your food
And make it all turn bad;
But most of the time I'll save your meal
So you can eat it later.
I preserve your food and drink.
I am the refrigerator.
