On the Cover
Living and learning goes hand-in-hand at Viterbo and nowhere more so than in the Viterbo-owned community service theme houses on campus. Through an extensive application process, students compete for the privilege of living in the homes and serving their neighbors and the Viterbo and La Crosse communities through volunteer work. And if the number of theme house applicants each year is any indication, the concept is here to stay.
Freisinger:
Viterbo alumnus Brian Freisinger ’92 has come a long way since his days as a student in the art department. Back then, he tinkered with digital media and special effects and had a strong interest in Dungeons and Dragons. Today, he’s turned his interests into a full-time career, working in the Hollywood film industry and creating digital special effects for movies like Queen of the Damned and the upcoming sequels to the highly popular film The Matrix.
