On the Cover

It seems unlikely that Viterbo and the country of Belize, sandwiched between Guatemala and Mexico, and almost 2,000 miles away from Wisconsin, would form a strong bond throughout the past 32 years, but that's exactly what's happened. In fact, Viterbo and St. John's Junior College in Belize City recently signed an articulation agreement that strengthens that bond. In this feature story, learn the history of the Viterbo-Belize connection, find out more about the new agreement, and explore the memories Viterbo's Belizean graduates shared at their February reunion.

 Nurses Needed:
The nursing workforce and faculty are aging and reaching retirement. Enrollment in nursing schools is declining. The Baby Boomer generation is getting older so there will be more patients needing care. These are among the many reasons that health care is face-to-face with a nursing shortage that is different than any that has happened before. How is the patient affected? How can we recruit and train more nurses? Nursing alumnae and faculty share their thoughts on the current crisis and discuss what Viterbo and other local organizations are doing about it.
