Marci Lau ’90 and Curtis DeBoer celebrated the birth of a son, Isaac Charles, Sept. 22, 2007. He joins siblings, Jeff Van Oursouw (a Viterbo student), Dylan, Chris, Sally, and Skye. Sara (Schroeder) ’90 and Anthony Warmka celebrated the birth of a daughter, Naomi Jean, Aug. 31, 2007. She joins siblings, Greta, 7, and Roman, 3. Patricia and Peter Hansen ’91 celebrated the birth of a daughter, Danielle, in November 2006. She joins brothers, Brice, 10, Kyle, 9, and Kadon, 5.
Christina and Martin Welles ’91 celebrated the birth of a son, Robert William, May 16, 2007. He joins twins Marty and Laura, born May 4, 2006. For those keeping score, that’s 600 diapers a month. Martin received a Master of Laws degree with highest honors in litigation and alternative doctoral residency from George Washington Law School and is currently enrolled at Georgetown Law Center for a second master’s degree in taxation with a focus on employee benefits. He is a labor and employment attorney with the United States Postal Service. Laura (Rice) Damrow ’92 accepted a position through Franciscan Skemp Healthcare as a certified nurse midwife on the Sparta campus in Sparta. Sara (Aschom) ’92 and Thomas Heiss celebrated the birth of a son, Isaac Cooper, June 22, 2007. He joins siblings, Miles, 5, and Grace, 4. In December 2006 Sara was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the Wisconsin Parent Teacher’s Association. Sara received her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from UW-Whitewater and is pursuing a second master’s degree in educational leadership through Cardinal Stritch University. Catherine Lau ’92 is teaching Spanish and French at Marshfield Public Schools in Marshfield. Kaydee (Kempfert) ’92 and Joe Ruppert were married Sept. 16, 2006, in Waupaca. Kaydee is the director of business services for ACES Xavier Educational System, Inc. Teresa (Freiberg) ’93 and William Conroy celebrated the birth of a daughter, Sophia Teresa, Dec. 11, 2006. She joins brothers, Zachary and Stephen. Teresa is pursuing a master’s degree in science for clinical nurse specialist with an education focus at Grand Canyon University. Vikki Seefeldt-Harraden ’93 is living in England and working with Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) overseas as a wellness coordinator. She is also attending graduate school. Eileen Shaw, FSPA ’93 is a payee case manager for Catholic Service Center in Mobile, Ala. Heather (Baker, Rollings) ’94 and Jeff Givens ’94 were remarried Sept. 22, 2007. Anne (Walker) ’94 and James Hassett celebrated the birth of a son, James Dyson, in June 2007. He joins his sister Grace, 2. Holly (Gierok) ’94 and Scott Kampa were married June 2, 2007 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence. Mary (Klonecki) Rathman ’94 celebrated the birth of granddaughter, Faith Emma, Jan. 19, 2007. Donna (Rejman) Borre ’95 finished her doctorate of education in educational leadership with a focus in nursing, June 11, 2007. Karen (Johnson) ’95 and Mark Conway were married Aug. 25, 2007. Amy (Becker) ’95 and William Hargrove celebrated the birth of a son, Waylon, Sept. 16, 2007. He joins siblings, Gabby, 6, Nolan, 3, and Calvin, 2. Karin Maresh-Silva ’95 and Michael Silva celebrated the birth of a son, Declan Joseph, May 17, 2007. He joins brother Sean, 3. Karin is an assistant professor at Washington & Jefferson College and resides in Bethel Park, Pa. Stacie Rogers and Brian Murley ’95 were married Oct. 27, 2007. Kristin Nelson ’95 was selected as an analyst for a national study through The Education Trust in Washington, DC. There were eight analysts selected from the United States. The study involved effective teaching practices of middle school math teachers. Kristy (Marohl) ’95 and Mark Weis celebrated the birth of a son, Zachary Ryan, July 28, 2007. Jo Ann Welch ’95 retired in June from teaching in the Waterloo School District. Julie (Bellman) ’96 and Shawn Copple celebrated the birth of a daughter, Kinsey, Oct. 5, 2007. Janelle (Johnson) Earl ’96 retired June 29, 2007 from Eleva-Strum Area Schools after teaching for 38 years. Wanda Esch ’96 received a Master of Arts in Education degree in Administration from Edgewood College in May 2007. Shannon (Peters) ’96 and Jasan Franek celebrated the birth of a daughter, Ella Sophia, Aug. 30, 2007. She joins siblings, Lauren, 7, Ethan, 5, and Mason, 2. Valerie Kokott-Rebhahn ’96 and Brian Rebhahn celebrated the birth of a daughter, Danika Dee, Sept. 24, 2006. She joins sister Brianna Jayne. Valerie is a full-time instructor at Viterbo University in the psychology department. Amanda Lambert ’96 is a library assistant for the University of Wisconsin, Ebling Library in Madison. Alexis (Akey) Ludewig ’96 is a co-author with her sister of the book, 101 Great Classroom Games, released by McGraw-Hill. Molly (Kulig) ’96 and Travis Matejka celebrated the birth of a daughter, Eden Emily, March 13, 2007. She joins siblings, Ellie, 5, and Nickelson, 2. Christina (Gryskiewicz) ’96 and Raleigh Nichols were married Dec. 31, 2006. Laurie (Finch) Popp ’96 completed the histotechnician program at Mayo/University of North Dakota. She passed the histotechnician test with American Society for Clinical Pathology. Laurie and her husband, Christopher, celebrated the birth of a daughter, Kaiana Leigh, Aug. 10, 2007. Michelle (Jenks) Tilson ’96 has been certified as a wound, ostomy, and continence nurse. Joanne and James Vacek ’96 celebrated the birth of a daughter, Evonne Louise (Evie), Aug. 8, 2007. She joins brother Jerome Joseph II (Rome), 2. Susan Witt ’96 celebrated the birth of a son, Hunter Luengen, Oct. 12, 2007. Kari (Verse) Bruley ’97 was promoted to major in the United States Army at Veteran’s Memorial Monument, Aug. 17, 2007. Betsy Fowler ’97 and her sister, Kathy (Fowler) Mydy ’84, traveled to Australia in January for a month to visit Kathy’s grandchildren, Lisaat and Jacob. Betsy has been a volunteer for the Salvation Army’s food pantry for the past six years. Amy (Paukner) ’97 and Greg Frank celebrated the birth of a son, Ethan, Feb. 6, 2007. Amy (Harlander) Hadsall ’97 is serving in the United States Army and was promoted to major in June 2007. Danielle (Klingbeil) ’97 and Scott Krueger celebrated the birth of a daughter, Davina Donna, Aug. 13, 2007. She joins siblings, Jazmine and Joey. Amy and Andrew Swendrowski ’97 were married in April 2006 and celebrated the birth of a daughter, Alexis, Oct. 3, 2007. Andrew merged two family owned and operated companies, forming Legacy Bogs, LLC, and Cranberries Limited in March 2006.
Chad Babcock ’98 opened a State Farm Agency in Excelsior, Minn. Shealan (Crowley) ’98 and Scott Bahr celebrated the birth of a son, Vincent Carl, Nov. 23, 2006. Amy (Lilla) ’98 and Seth Barna ’99 celebrated the birth of a son, Ezra John, Dec. 17, 2006. He joins brother Addison. Christine (Melko) ’98 and Mark Healy were married July 27, 2007 in St. Paul. Susan (Fitzpatrick) Horne ’98 graduated from Winona State University in May 2007, with a Master of Science degree in counselor education. She is the human resource director for Main Street Ingredients. Heidi and Ryan Katte ’98 celebrated the birth of a daughter, Ainsely Emma, Feb. 23, 2007. She joins sister Jocelyn, 3. Elizabeth and Jeffrey Kuhn ’98 celebrated the birth of a son, Charles Harrison, Feb. 20, 2007. Doreen Schwahn Mikeal ’98 and Martin Mikeal were married Aug. 24, 2007. Barbara (Boerschinger) Payette ’98 celebrated the birth of a daughter, Terri Lee, in 2007. She joins sister Mariah. Arbender “Dell” Robinson ’98 recently appeared in his first Broadway show, Hairspray, and has been offered a major role in Disney’s new Broadway musical, The Little Mermaid. Christopher Stake ’98 was promoted to captain in the United States Army. Karen (Hubbard) ’99 and Scott Andrew celebrated the birth of a daughter, Ashley, Jan. 25, 2007. She joins sister Haley, 3. Shelbie (Eckman) Ewing ’99 graduated with a master’s degree in criminal justice from Florida Metropolitan University and is pursuing a doctorate at Capella University for criminal justice. She resides in St. Anthony, Minn. Darcy and Steffen Fair ’99 celebrated the birth of a daughter, Tillotti, March 15, 2007. She joins siblings, Sullivan, Watson, O’Malley, and Ryder. Deana (Eley) Foster ’99 accepted a position with the Wisconsin Beef Council as director of nutrition. Kristine (Starkey) ’99 and Paul Gasch celebrated the birth of a daughter, Harmony Ellen, born June 26, 2006. Derek Jackson ’99 graduated from the University of Phoenix campus in Brookfield with a Master of Business Administration degree and is a senior accountant at Trane. Michelle (Whitehead) ’99 and Mark Nordeen celebrated the birth of a daughter, Evelyn Paige, March 19, 2007. She joins siblings, Zachary, 6 (adopted by Mark in September 2007), and Paul, 2. Crystal (Oslie) ’99 and Jason Sobotta celebrated the birth of a son, Owen, May 19, 2007. He joins brother Trey. Sheryl (Voss) ’99 and Philip Solberg celebrated the birth of a son, Theodore, in May 2007. Dinah (Storkel) Sparks ’99, a program analyst for the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, retired in January. Jenny (Zeman) ’99 and Gregory Stenberg celebrated the birth of a son, Thompson Gregory, March 26, 2007. He joins brother Sam, 2. Pamela (Boyer) Wagner ’99 graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a Master of Science degree in nurse anesthesia, Aug. 17, 2007. She passed the State Board Exam and is a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Regions Hospital.
