Donna Gerke-Cuta ’70 finished a sculpture of St. Luke for St. Luke’s Parish in Boyceville. Donna and her husband, Paul, celebrated the marriage of their daughter, Beth Cuta-Swertfeger and Christopher Swertfeger Sept. 15, 2007.
Cynthia (Cassel) Peterson ’70 graduated in August 2006 from Red Rocks Community College in the physician assistant program in Lakewood, Colo., and is employed at Desert Valley Family Medicine. She resides in Gilbert, Ariz.
Cecilia (Escher) Becwar ’72 is celebrating her 35th year of teaching at St. John’s Catholic School in Prairie du Chien.
Kathleen Holland, OSF ’73 received the Founders’ Award for distinguished, long-term service to Ashford University at the fifth annual Founders’ Day celebration of the history and mission of Ashford University. Ashford University is the former Mount St. Clare College, founded by the Clinton Franciscans in 1918.
Laurene (Sloniker) Wurster ’73 works at St. Joseph’s Community Health Service, Inc., and was honored for 35 years of service.
Beth and John Satory ’74 celebrated the marriage of their son, John Satory IV and Connie Milonakis in Crete, Greece. Both are graduates of Georgetown Law School.
Mary (Sendelbach) Dudley ’76 was honored with the 2007 Philanthropist of the Year Award by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Foundation in August in Denver. It is an annual award given to a certified registered nurse anesthetist who has given time, talent, and treasure in service to mankind.
Joseph (Gauss) Paulauskis ’78 was promoted to senior director in the division of translational molecular medicine. He now leads the pharmacogenomics group for Pfizer in Groton, Conn.
Nancy (Bina-Adams) Pilmonas ’78 along with fellow alumni Sandra Homb-Merry ’80 performed with the Star of the North Concert Band in Germany, Austria, and Italy along with Viterbo junior, Samantha Merry. Nancy celebrated the birth of her first grandchild, Emma Patricia Adams, June 28, 2007.
Carol Brueggen ’79 co-authored “Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Syndrome of Appendiceal Origin: An Overview,” published in the August 2007 issue of Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing. Carol is an oncology clinical nurse specialist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Susan (Stangel) Sevcik ’79 is teaching family and consumer science at Roncalli High School in Manitowoc.
