Remembering Brett Magritz
Family, friends, and former classmates of Brett Magritz ’05 gathered in October at Meadow Springs Golf Course in Jefferson for the first annual Brett Magritz Golf Outing. The event was organized to raise money for the new Brett Magritz Scholarship fund, which will benefit a student at Jefferson High School, where Magritz was a three-sport athlete and 2001 graduate. Over $4,000 was raised at the event. Magritz, a former Viterbo baseball player, died in a car accident on Jan. 18, 2007. The golf outing weekend coincided with what would have been his 25th birthday. |
