Cross Country to Run This Fall

As the university continues to grow, so too does the V-Hawk athletics department with the announcement that varsity men’s and women’s cross country teams will join the Viterbo sports lineup this fall.

The addition of cross country comes one season after Viterbo added men’s and women’s golf. Barry Fried, athletics director, is still in the process of finding a home course for the V-Hawks and is hopeful to have a place finalized in the near future.

“Continuing to expand our athletics department has been a vision of mine for some time now and to add cross country to our department is very rewarding,” said Fried.

When cross country is up and running the number of varsity teams will have grown to 11.
