1970

Deloris (Feldmeier) Friske ’71 has co-authored Family Child Care Contracts and Policies: How to Be Businesslike in a Caring Profession. She is the director of a family childcare center in Minnesota. The Web address for more information is www.allbookstores.com/book/1929610793.

1980

Francis Steindorf ’80 recently became the Associate Dean of Extended Opportunity Programs and Services at Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif.

Kathleen Holland, OFS ’85 is the recipient of the 2007 Ashford ­University (Clinton, Iowa) Founder’s Award for distinguished, long-term service to the university (formerly Mount St. Clare ­College). Sr. Kathy holds an associate degree from Mount St. Clare College, a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Viterbo, and a Master of Science in Education degree in School Counselor Education from Western Illinois University. She is the adult accelerated program coordinator.

Laura (Stuber) ’85 married Donnie Tobin on Feb. 17, 2006 in Daytona Beach, Fla. Sadly, Donnie passed away on Dec. 6, 2006.

Lea and Derrick George ’88 celebrated the birth of a son, Hadley Harris, on April 2, 2006.

Deb (Schermerhorn) Skarda ’88 traveled to Shanghai, China and Taipei, Taiwan, Nov. 25–Dec. 8, 2006 to conduct training and education for the local Abbott affiliate medical staff.

Susan Weber-Johnson ’88 joined the Citizens First Bank in Viroqua as a Mortgage Loan Officer.

Craig Gralapp ’89 completed a master’s degree in telecommunications from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in June 2006. He and his wife Deanna celebrated the birth of a son, Dylan Dean, on April 13, 2007.

Janean and Bradley Hanson ’94 celebrated the birth of a son, Chase, on Nov. 30, 2006.

Vicki Wunsch ’94 was awarded the Francis X. Pirazzini Award for demonstrating exceptional theological acumen and ethical sensitivities regarding contemporary social and cultural problems. This award is given to two seminary graduates nationwide who demonstrate significant contributions to theological studies in the context of current social and ethical issues.

Jane (Schieber) ’95 and Daren Boe celebrated the birth of a son, Samuel James, on June 2, 2006. He joins twin brothers, Nicholas and Daniel, 3.

Heidi Davidson ’95 accepted a position as internal audit manager at Organic Valley in La Farge.

Melissa (Sabelko) ’95 and Kim Ganz celebrated the birth of a son, Aidan Jay, on Dec. 17, 2006. He joins sister Allison.

Dana (Curti) ’95 and John Lochner celebrated the birth of a daughter, Isabelle Rose, on Nov. 26, 2006. She joins siblings, Lauren, 10, Herold, 8, and Quentin, 5.

Theresa McKinley ’95 accepted the position of program director at the Wisconsin School Music Association, Waunakee.

Susan Anderson ’96 completed her doctorate at the University of St. Thomas in 2006 and accepted a position with Georgia Southern University’s Counseling and Career Development Center. She will also be teaching at the university.

Matthew Hemberger, Ph.D. ’96 is a chemist at GlaxoSmithKline. He and his wife, Alyson, celebrated the birth of a son, Basil, on Jan. 24, 2007. He joins brother, Alistair. Matt will be one of the speakers at the 2007 Midwestern Association of Chemistry Teachers in Liberal Arts Colleges’ annual conference. Viterbo is hosting the conference Oct. 19–20.

Lori (Studnicka) ’97 and Chris Neises celebrated the birth of a daughter, Emily Ann on May 2, 2007. She joins sister Erin, 2.

Sally Pomerening-Derdzinski ’97 works at American Nurses Credentials Center, re-designated New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery, earning the prestigious Magnet Recognition Program. Sally manages three specialty areas in the Hand and Foot Center, which is an all-
service surgical suite/center. Sally ­completed her master’s degree at Columbia in May.

Sara (Peckham) ’97 and Jason Schultz celebrated the birth of a daughter, ­Cameron Elizabeth, on Dec. 11, 2006.

Jaime (Pethan) ’98 and Sean Anday celebrated the birth of a son, Shadrick James, born on Dec. 12, 2006. He joins brothers, Sandor and Shelden.

Amy (Danckwart) ’98 and Benjamin Bly were married Oct.14, 2006 by the Rev. William Kulas at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha, Minn.

Kelly (Camrud) ’98 and Ed Ewertowski celebrated the birth of a son, Ethan Matthew, on March 31, 2007. He joins brother Eli, 2.

Sasha (Stephany) ’98 and Duane ­German celebrated the birth of a daughter, Anya Belen, on June 2, 2006. She joins brother Jack.

Kelly (Weinberger) ’98 and Michael Jakes ’03 were married on Sept. 15, 2006 in La Crosse.

Rebecca (Conway) ’98 and Jacob Tillmann celebrated the birth of a son, Ethan Jacob, on Dec. 16, 2006.

Sarah (Echer) ’99 and Troy Burmeister celebrated the birth of a son, Alexander, in June 2006. He joins brother Ethan, 2.

Stacie (Thesing) ’99 and Darin Meyer celebrated the birth of a son, Landon, on March 9, 2007. He joins brother Austin, 3.

Stephanie Miller ’99 married Matthew Miller on Oct. 7, 2006 in Rochester, Minn.

Krista (Hamus) ’99 and Derek Pavelec celebrated the birth of a daughter, Alyssa Kathryn, on Aug. 29, 2006.

Sarah (Heiderscheit) ’99 and Russell Simmons were married Nov. 11, 2006 in La Crosse. Sarah teaches at Irving Pertzsch Elementary School in Onalaska.

Heather (Davidson) ’00 married Chad Christianson on June 10, 2006 in an outdoor garden wedding in rural Cashton. Heather is the meat information manager at Organic Prairie in La Farge.

Heather (Fee) ’00 and Jason Ladwig celebrated the birth of a daughter, Ava Victoria, on July 4, 2006.

Megan (Tester) ’00 and Matthew Woods celebrated the birth of a son, Samuel Baker, on May 18, 2007. He joins brother Jacob, 2.

Ann Marie Dahl ’01 and family moved to Madison and opened a chiropractic office in April.

Heather (Trulson) ’01 and David Dean celebrated the birth of a daughter, Paloma Rae, on Dec. 31, 2006. She joins sister Mattea Morgan.

Juan Jimenez ’01 accepted a position as an associate executive director with the Representative Assembly of the Racine National Education Association.

Rochelle (Filla) Williams ’01 celebrated the birth of her first grandchild, Jackson Roy Haman, on Nov. 21, 2006.

Faith (Halverson) ’02 married Miguel Halverson-Ramos in May, the day after graduating with a master’s degree in transpersonal counseling psychology-music therapy from Naropa University. Faith is currently self-employed and negotiating with her former internship site, Denver Children’s Home, hoping to continue providing music therapy services to the young people there who have experienced trauma.

Trisha (Callies) ’02 and Anthony Meyer celebrated the birth of a daughter, Savanna Rose, on April 26, 2006.

Sarah (Olson) ’02 and Christopher Mohrbacher were married on Jan. 27, 2007 in Wisconsin Rapids. Sarah is a fourth/fifth grade looping teacher for the Sparta School District.

Jay Benish ’03 accepted a position teaching sixth grade language arts at Jefferson Middle School. He will also be coaching varsity basketball at Jefferson High School.

Shanda (Nedland) ’03 and Andrew Harrington were married in Prairie Farm on Nov. 4, 2006. She graduated from Hamline University School of Law on May 20, 2006.

Holly (Knutson) ’03 married Joseph Rutchik on Aug. 27, 2006. Holly received a Master of Arts in Theology from Cardinal Stritch University and is employed by the Diocese of Green Bay.

Amanda (Lunsford) ’03 and Thomas Schock were married on Oct. 21, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Arcadia.

Melissa (Evers) ’04 and Karl Schumacher celebrated the birth of a daughter, Ava Bernice, on Jan. 10, 2007.

Amy (Wilfahrt) ’04 married Paul Johnston on June 20, 2005 at St. Mary’s in Auburndale. Amy and Paul celebrated the birth of a daughter, Hailey Ann, on Feb. 2, 2007.

Krystal (Check) ’05 married Adam Peterson on June 30, 2007. Krystal is employed by Our Lady of Grace School in Edina, Minn. Adam is employed by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Crystal (Kreye) ’06 and Eric Francksen ’05 married on July 28, 2007. Crystal attends the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. Eric is a production assistant at Big Rooster Studios in Madison.

Carly (Chenoweth) ’06 and Robert Sebion ’05 married on June 30, 2007. Carly is employed with Farmers Insurance in Burnsville, Minn., and is attending Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul. Robert is employed by CIMA Labs in Eden Prairie, Minn.

Eric Tanlaka ’06 is working at Augustana Health Care Center in Minneapolis as a registered nurse. Eric will be entering a master’s program this fall.
