Alumni Now

Director’s Note

RoberdeauGreetings Alumni,

I can’t believe how quickly a year has flown by! With my first year as Director of Alumni Relations complete, I am overwhelmed with the number of amazing people I’ve met and the great stories I’ve heard. I have had the opportunity to meet many of you throughout the year at alumni events and other campus functions. It has been a privilege to get to know you and learn more about our alumni from all decades.

So just who exactly are Viterbo alumni?

We are professional people in business, health care, education, the arts, the sciences, and many other fields. We are over 14,200 strong. We live in all 50 states, five U.S. territories, and over 35 countries. And, we are truly servant leaders, always willing to lend a helping hand to each other, to current students, or to friends and neighbors in the communities in which we live.

Here are some statistics about our alumni that you may find interesting:

  • Sixty-four percent are undergraduate alumni, versus 31 percent who are graduate alumni (The remaining five percent is comprised of our seven new associate degree alumni and over 650 non-graduating alumni).
  • Only 18.2 percent of our alumni are male.
  • Three hundred eighty-six of our alumni are members of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.
  • Our three largest majors, by number of alumni, are education (5,235), nursing (3,318), and English (345).

These are just some of the things I’ve had an opportunity to learn in my first year, and I’m looking forward to what the next year holds. Most importantly, I look forward to meeting those of you whom I have not yet had the fortune to meet.

As you’ll note in this section, your alumni association has been very active in the past year. Read on and enjoy. I hope to see you at some of the upcoming activities and events.

All the best,
Jen Roberdeau ’04
Director of Alumni Relations
