Forbes Magazine Publisher Meets with Students

Rich Karlgaard, publisher of Forbes—the world’s most popular business and financial magazine, visited campus and shared his knowledge with Viterbo business students.

Karlgaard presented “What Business Students Should Consider in Determining a Place to Work and Live.” He is author of Life 2.0: How People Across America are Transforming Their Lives by Finding the Where of Their Happiness, an Amazon and Wall Street Journal business bestseller. He is also a regular guest on the Fox News Channel’s Forbes on Fox.

His special appearance at Viterbo was made possible by the investment firm North Central Trust Company, which hosted Karlgaard at an economic luncheon for clients of the firm.

“This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students to hear from one of the most influential business leaders in our nation,” said Tom Knothe, assistant professor of business and director of the Master of Business Administration program. “We greatly appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with local businesses such as the North Central Trust Company, which allows us to bring in speakers of this prominence.”
