BSN Program

Belize, Central America

Senior nursing students may complete their synthesis practicum in community health clinics in Belize during the last half of spring semester.

Japan

An exchange program with Immaculate Heart University in Japan allows students the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture, health care and nursing education.

Puerto Rico

Senior nursing students with proficiency in Spanish may elect to complete their synthesis practicum at the Universidad Metropolitan in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Guatemala

During second semester, third year NP students may have the opportunity to participate in a Medical Mission in Guatemala for one week.  Our group (NP students and faculty) join Refuge International in this important work. All of the 2009 participants agreed that it was an awesome experience.

Nutrition and Dietetics

Belize, Central America 

During spring semester senior nutrition students have the opportunity to participate in a 4 week immersion experience in Belize.

  Korea

During the summer prior to senior coursework, nutrition seniors have the opportunity to study Korean culture and nutrition, administer Food Frequency Questionnaires (FFQ's), eat traditionas Korean food, and make some wonderful memories.
