Welcome to the School of Letters and Sciences
This School, the most diverse within the university, is comprised of ten departments encompassing the disciplinary areas of the humanities, the natural sciences, and the social sciences. We offer a wide variety of major and minor programs for undergraduate students as well as a graduate program in Servant Leadership. Our students are guided on a chosen academic path in programs that provide intellectual and diverse learning and excellent professional preparation. Our programs—each nurtured by a liberal arts core—include opportunities for field work, research, internships, service learning, and study abroad. Our faculty are dedicated teachers, researchers, and leaders who have a strong commitment to student learning. Each year, we offer a Humanities Symposium that brings interdisciplinary perspective and debate to contemporary topics. Please take time to explore the variety of majors, minors, programs, and
learning opportunities shown on these pages!
