It is the mission of Viterbo University to prepare students for faithful service and ethical leadership. To promote its mission and values, the University is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all and to ensuring that its programs, activities and operations are free from discrimination and harassment. The University prohibits all forms of discrimination against students, employees, and other persons in all aspects of the University’s programs, activities and operations, based on sex, race, religion, national origin (including persons whose primary language is not English), ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, gender non-conformity, physical, mental, emotional or learning disability.

As mandated by the federal Title IX statutes and under the regulations set forth in Part106 of Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations, the University does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of sex in any educational program or activity that the University operates. Title IX’s mandate not to discriminate on the basis of sex extends to students, employees, and other persons in all aspects of the University’s programs, activities, and operations. Inquiries regarding how Title IX applies to the University may be referred to the University Title IX Coordinator (contact information below), to the Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, or to both.  Please be aware that non-confidential employees are required to report the act of sexual discrimination.
