Viterbo University - The University of Opportunity: Hope and Help

November Remembrance

 Dear Viterbo Friends:

As we begin November, it is important to remember those that are special to us in a multitude of ways. Feast of All Saints Day is on Nov. 1. On this day we remember all those holy men and women who share Heaven with God and show us great examples of what it means to be holy. On Nov. 2, the Feast of All Souls, we remember all those who have died. We continue to pray for them that one day they may be joined in Heaven with God. Lastly, on Nov. 22 we celebrate Thanksgiving, taking the time with friends and family to remember how blessed we are.

In November we remember especially those friends and family that we know who have died. We would like to include in our prayers your deceased family members, relatives, and friends. These names will be placed in the San Damiano Chapel on Nov. 2 and will remain there for the entire month. Please know that all members of the Viterbo community will be remembered and lifted up in prayer during this season of thanksgiving.

The peace of God be with you!

Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine:
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.

—Catholic funeral rite

Grant that our brothers and sisters may

sleep here in peace until you awaken them

to glory, for you are the resurrection and

the life, then they will see you face to face

and in your light will see light and know

the splendor of God, for you live and reign

for ever and ever.
