Fine Arts Center Facilities
Main Theatre - Converts from a proscenium theatre into a concert hall with a specially designed acoustical shell; completely equipped and adaptable to accommodate drama, musical comedy, opera, ballet, concerts, lectures, and conferences. Seating Chart
Recital Hall - A fine acoustical and aesthetic environment seating 170 for solo and small group ensemble performances and other presentations, with the adjoining Hospitality Suite for receptions.
La Croix Black Box Theatre - Seating for up to 144 for dramatic presentations and variable placement of the audience, such as arena staging, with the audience on four sides, or thrust staging with the audience on three sides.
Art Galleries - On the art floor of the academic wing and throughout the lobby areas of the Main Theatre. The Gallery program includes exhibits by nationally known artists, as well as regional professionals, faculty, and students.
Main Theatre Lobby - Features a promenade balcony; adaptable to a wide variety of activities, including dinners, meetings, exhibits, and receptions.
Dance Studio - For training dancers and presenting special dance performances.
Painting and Drawing Studios
The painting and drawing studios provide inviting and open spaces for classes and individual studio practice. Some classrooms are equipped with stands for modeling and still life painting.
Viterbo's intaglio and relief print lab is comprised of three adjacent rooms equipped with two etching presses, one proof press, two hotplates, an aquatint box, a ventilated acid booth, a light exposure vacuum table, and table/workspace for 15 beginning and advanced print students.
The 3D and ceramics labs consist of a kiln room and a joined ceramics/3D studio with a wide array of working spaces. Professional quality throwing wheels, commercial grade woodworking equipment, and state-of-the-art kilns are all included for student use.
The design studio is on the 3rd floor of the Fine Arts Center. It is equipped for designing and making art.
Graphic Design Computer Lab
The Reinhart Center houses Viterbo's graphic design computer lab. Offering state-of-the-art Macintosh hardware and software products from companies such as Adobe and Macromedia, the lab is always on the cutting edge of design technology.
Academic Facilities - Arts studios for painting, design, graphics, and weaving; a choral and instrumental room; acoustically isolated music practice rooms and music studios; numerous classrooms including a specially designed audio-visual classroom.
Fine Arts Center Facility Policy - All practice, studio, rehearsal, performance, and other spaces within the Fine Arts Center are for educational university purposes and may not be used by students engaging in personal, profit-seeking ventures.
Weber Center for the Performing Arts
The Weber Center for the Performing Arts is a collaborative venue supporting the missions of La Crosse Community Theatre and Viterbo University. The Weber Center serves as a performance and administrative center for La Crosse Community Theatre, providing opportunities for creativity and personal growth; serves as a performance and learning center, expanding and advancing Viterbo University’s regional and national arts reputation; and provides a beautiful community asset for events through cooperation and sustainability.
