What
is WHIL?
The purpose of Wisconsin Honorary of Involved Leaders (WHIL)
is to provide recognition for individuals who have outstanding service and who
provide leadership in the residence halls at their schools. This recognition is
evaluated by Of the Month’s (OTMs), that are submitted by students and faculty
to honor the hard work of others.
WHIL also works on campus to reward students for academics,
such as making the dean’s list or handing out brownies for studying during
finals week.
WHIL within Wisconsin United
Residence Hall Association (WURHA) uses ideas and shares information
through various forms of communication such as WHIL-CC interaction, annual
conferences, newsletters, and list-serves. The organization also seeks to
create and improve individual residence housing organizations such as Residence
Hall Council and Clare Council.

This Of the Month (OTM) is a monthly recognition of
a program put on by Resident Assistants and Peer Advisors. There are four categories of programs:
Social, Community Service, Diversity and Educational. Any Student (Including
RA’s and PA’s) or Faculty can fill out a form to nominate it as the program of
the month. Please only submit programs that were done in the past month, and
feel free to nominate more than one program!!

Other
Monthly Recognitions:
These Of the Month recognitions are for individuals
(students and staff), Campus Organizations, or Bulletin Boards. Every day we have students and faculty doing
amazing things on campus, being dedicated and making Viterbo proud. Nominating someone for an OTM is a great way
to show your appreciation for the hard work of fellow students and faculty.

Of the Months will be voted on by the Viterbo
Chapter WHIL OTM Committee, and then the winners will be sent on to State, and
judged at a statewide level by WHILCC’s of every school involved with WURHA.
Winners will be notified on campus level each month, with state winners to be
notified once results are received from the state WHIL organization.
