In Memory of Rev. Thomas O'Neill

Blessing of the Celtic Cross
Oct. 17, 2010
by Marci Madary

Saint Rose walked through the streets of Viterbo carrying a cross in her hand encouraging the people to live a holy life.

May this cross be a constant reminder for us to be a faithful people.

Saints Francis and Clare prayed before the cross in the chapel of San Damiano so that they could more clearly see Christ.

May this cross focus our vision so we may always recognize your presence in our lives.

Father Tom O'Neill carried the cross in his own life and chose to share his gifts with the Church.

May this cross give us strength and courage to live the Gospel each day.

Jesus, our Savior, embraced the cross of crucifixion with deepest compassion for a suffering world.

May this cross ever invite us into selfless love.

Spirit of Unwavering Love,

Help us when we experience troubled times and attend to our hearts. Offer healing kindness to the places within us that are broken and wounded. Be with us as we carry the crosses in our lives.

May God bless this cross in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
