As a member of the Viterbo University community, the Office of the Registrar's purpose is to support the instructional mission of the institution by serving students, faculty, and alumni. The Office of the Registrar shall maintain accurate historical records (both student and institutional); facilitate the registration process, from the creation of a class schedule to the collection and distribution of grades; ensure student satisfaction of graduation requirements; and uphold and implement academic standards and policies.
Functions of the office include:
Collection, preparation, and distribution of a course schedule, including the scheduling of academic classrooms.
Implementation of the registration process, both for current Viterbo University students and for incoming students.
Evaluation of credits to be accepted by Viterbo University for students transferring from another institution
Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including the verification of enrollment, and the processing of requests for transcripts
Provision of data for internal and external reporting
Ensuring graduation requirements are met, posting degree completion on official record, and the ordering/mailing of diplomas
Coordinate, in conjunction with Instructional and Information Technology staff, the academic records and registration portions of the on-line student information system (VitNet)
Coordinate the production and revision of the University catalog
Maintain and uphold the academic standards and policies of the institution
Certification of all student athletes using NAIA standards and policy
Office hours are 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
