About Rec Sports
Mission
Provide RECREATIONAL, HEALTH and WELLNESS programs for the Viterbo University community of students, employees and alumni in a manner that encourages healthy choices, competition, personal satisfaction, and enjoyment. Create an attractive and predictable environment for our members that promotes an increasing number of participants throughout a broad scope of programming interests.
Vision
The rec sports department at Viterbo University is located in the Amie L. Mathy Center for Recreation and Education. Rec Sports offers a wide array of programs including Intramural Sports, Sports Clubs, Special Events, Fitness Services, and Wellness Education.
Programs are offered to current students, employees and Mathy Center alumni members.
In a unique partnership, intramural sports are also offered in conjunction with the Wellness Department at Western Technical College to promote sportsmanship and competitive team play between the schools. This partnership allows both schools the ability to increase team and individual participation rates as well as provide consistent, predictable programs for students.
