Movember is here!

What is Movember?

Movember is a creative initiative for positive change in men’s health awareness regarding the effects of disease, specifically testicular and prostate cancers, as well as mental health concerns and physical inactivity.

No Shave November

Start off the month in raising support with growing your beard or mustache!
No need to shave prior to entering.
Participants can have their photos taken October 30- November 3 at location tables where you can also sign up or at the Mathy front desk!
Alternatively, if you don’t see us around campus, send in a picture of your before facial hair to wellness@viterbo.edu with your name to sign up, as well.

Final photos can be taken at the Mathy front desk or you can choose to email in your final photo. All after photos must be in by November 30, however you may choose to send them in early.

The winner will be the person who has the most drastic change at the end of the month.

The winner will be announced on December 1.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 individuals. Win your choice of an electric razor or gift card to places such as Kwik Trip, Sport Clips, Festival, Dick’s Sporting Goods, or Howie’s!

Men's Health Testical Toss 

Wednesday, November 15 at 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. 

Rec Sports will be hosting a Men’s Health Awareness Testicle Toss. You will earn your bolas by answering Men’s Health questions. The participant with the most points will win prizes:

Choose a gift card to places such as Kwik Trip, Festival, the school bookstore, or Dick’s Sporting Goods!

It will take place in the Mathy Center on Court 1 beginning at 4 p.m. You can sign-up at the location tables, at the front desk of the Mathy, or sign-up the day of by walking up to play. 

Move for Movember Workout Challenge

November 13-17

Sign up before or during the week to log your active minutes for the week!
You choose how, when, and where you work out each day. Keep track of your minutes using a printed activity log or fill out your minutes on a Google Form.

There will be a special 30-minute HIIT/Tabata class on Thursday, November 16th on the middle court of the Mathy Center from 6pm led by one of our fitness specialists, Ryan, that you can receive double time for attending! We will have some fun facts about Men’s Health as well.

Sign up will be at the Mathy Center Welcome Desk beginning Monday, November 6 and it will be open until Wednesday, November 15.

The person who accumulates the most minutes over the week will win a fitness package including resistance bands, a Rec Sports shaker bottle, foam roller, and gym bag!
