2014-2015 Events

Micro-Aggressions - Are you being inclusive? - December 2, 2014
The professional development committee invites all staff and administrators to join us on Tuesday, December 2 as we learn about the message we send to others through brief and commonplace daily verbal indignities. These intentional and non-intentional  indignities are micro-aggressions.

Each participant will have an opportunity to examine his/her personal experience, raise awareness and understanding of how inclusive and exclusive behaviors and attitudes can impact individuals and environments, and dialog about how the collective “we” can make a difference in creating more inclusive living and working environments.

8am – 10am, Reinhart Board Room
2:30pm - 4:30pm, Reinhart Board Room
(Two Identical Sessions Available)

Speaker:  Beth Hartung | Executive Director with Options Clinic, Passionate about Diversity and Inclusion

Please register online before December 1.  Co-sponsored by the diversity committee.

Building a Culture of Recognition and Gratitude - Spring 2015 TBD

The professional development committee's responsibility is to offer professional development and training opportunities for staff and administrative employees. Professional development is defined as diverse programming that builds and maintains morale, enhances skills and fosters collaboration and communication between members of the Viterbo community. The goal is to provide at least three professional development programs each calendar year.
