The Educational Leadership Program with Principal Endorsement.
In response to the importance of developing leadership for student learning and the shortage of principal candidates, the university, under the leadership of Dr. John Schroeder, began in 2001 designing an Educational Leadership program. Collaborations with PK–12 systems, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, as well as reviewing research and best practices served as valuable resources in designing the program. In early 2002, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction approved the university’s application for this program. Having sought and obtained this approval, the first cohort was formed and the Educational Leadership program with Principal Endorsement began.
Viterbo presently has four cohort sites for its Educational Leadership program in:
- La Crosse
- Eau Claire
- Green Bay
- Middleton
