As a Philosophy major at Viterbo you will:

philosophical reasoning:
Demonstrate the ability to use the tools of critical thinking to
distinguish argumentative and non-argumentative forms of reasoning, evaluate
arguments, construct sound arguments, and articulate sound arguments in the public
forum.
Develop the skills of ethical decision-making:
Demonstrate an understanding of the historical development of
ethics.
Demonstrate an understanding of how ethics can be used to
improve one’s own life goals and values and how ethics can be applied to
concrete situations in order to clarify and resolve contentious disputes and
disagreeme nts.
Demonstrate an understanding of how ethics can be used to
identity prejudices, cultural assumptions, and stereotypes.
