· What dominant themes about the environment have you noticed present in all of the works we have read this semester? Is there one common idea that connects all of the works?

· How has this course changed your thought and behavior toward the environment?

· Which one work will remain with you after the semester ends? Why? Which text do you suggest I eliminate from the reading list?

· All of the books we read were by American authors and dealt with the American experiences. (Although an argument can be made that Hemingway places most of his novels outside of the United States.) What did you learn about being an American from the books we read? How does this American character affect the environment?
