Performing and Visual Arts at Viterbo

Viterbo’s performing and visual arts programs provide rigorous pre-professional training grounded in the liberal arts.

Artists need space to create and a place to call home. Our first-rate facilities include studio, rehearsal, design/tech, gallery, and performance spaces in the Fine Arts Center, as well as at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts in vibrant downtown La Crosse.

Viterbo's programs help students discover and unlock their creative potential. Small classes allow students to hone their craft and work closely with faculty mentors.

Students learn from both faculty and visiting artists who share their expertise and experiences. Artist lectures, exhibits, performances, and workshops help connect students with professionals in the field.

Viterbo alums perform across the globe, study in graduate programs, teach young artists, or start a business. Rigorous training and a liberal arts foundation produce the next generation of artists, scholars, educators, and entrepreneurs.

The arts are a powerful tool to bring people together and make a difference. Our students impact the wider community through artistic collaborations that connect learning with service.

Our mission is to prepare our students to be artists, creative and critical thinkers, successful scholars, active participants, and advocates for the fine arts through excellence in teaching and in production within the liberal arts framework.
