NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SCIENCE AND OPERATIONS OFFICER TO PRESENT “THE DISTURBING RECENT HEAVY PRECIPITATION TREND ACROSS PARTS OF THE MIDWEST” ON FACEBOOK LIVE NOV. 6

LA CROSSE, Wis. – National Weather Service science and operations officer Dan Baumgardt will present “The Disturbing Recent Heavy Precipitation Trend Across Parts of the Midwest” from 10–11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6 on Facebook Live.

The presentation is part of the Viterbo D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership’s fall lectures series and the annual Seven Rivers Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Baumgardt has been the lead scientist at the National Weather Service in La Crosse for the past 25 years. He strives to infuse the latest research and technology in the weather forecast process for the staff of 15 meteorologists watching over the Upper Mississippi Valley. He earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin.
