The Library Has 4 New Database Subscriptions - Musical Theater Songs, MLA Handbook Plus, DigitalTheatre+ and Oxford English Dictionary

The library has licensed four new databases, two for theatre/musical theatre, and two for English and writing.

MusicalTheaterSongs.com features thousands of song titles spanning 150 years of musical theater. Users can quickly find a list of songs to suit their exact needs by entering up to 20 criteria, including voice type, key, range, mood and more.

Digital Theatre+ is a streaming video service of theatre productions, including plays, musicals, dance, and operas. It includes audio, video, and written resources such as interviews, lectures, documentaries, essays, study guides, and teaching resources.

MLA Handbook Plus includes access to the full contents of the ninth edition of the MLA Handbook, as well as MLA Guides to Digital Literacy and Undergraduate Research. It also includes a video course that teaches the principles of MLA documentation style through a series of short videos paired with quizzes, plus a final assessment.

Oxford English Dictionary Online (OED) is widely regarded as the accepted authority on the English language. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of 600,000 words--past and present--from across the English-speaking world.

These databases, and more, can be accessed from the library's home page under the Research menu, and then Databases, or directly from https://www.viterbo.edu/library/databases
