“BIOETHICAL FRONTIERS: A CONVERSATION WITH DR. CHRISTINE GRADY” NURSING RESEARCH ON THE GREEN EVENT APRIL 22

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Christine Grady, chief of the department of bioethics at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, will give the keynote address “Nursing and Bioethics Intertwined” at the 20th annual Nursing Research on the Green hosted by Viterbo University Thursday, April 22.

Nurses, nursing students, and the general public are invited to attend the event, which will be held virtually this year because of the pandemic. For complete details, including the schedule, registration information, and the event brochure with speaker information, visit https://www.viterbo.edu/pi-phi-chapter/nursing-research-green. The event is free, but registration is required.

The “Nursing and Bioethics Intertwined” keynote will address various ways that nurses are involved in bioethics, the importance of ethics education, and the value of engagement. Grady will use examples from clinical care, clinical research, policy development, and leadership to show the value that nurses bring to bioethics, and how important bioethics is to quality nursing practice.

Nursing Research on the Green will also include the presentation of the Dahlberg Scholars Award by Gundersen Health System’s Stephen Shapiro, MD, poster presentations, a Q&A session with Grady, and a panel discussion with Grady and other health experts.
