[Women's Basketball] Nilssen's Dominant Performance Guides V-Hawks Past Warriors

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo defeated Waldorf University, 49-45, at R.W. Beggs Senior Gymnasium on Saturday. Alyssa Nilssen (SO/Wilson, Wis.) recorded her fifth double-double of the season. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak. The V-Hawks improve to an overall record of 5-17 and 2-8 in NSAA play. The Warriors fell to an overall record of 4-14 and 2-7 in conference play.

[Softball] V-Hawks Ranked Sixth in NSAA Preseason Poll

MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced Tuesday that the Viterbo softball team ranked sixth place in the conference's preseason coaches' poll. The V-Hawks received 37 points in the poll. Jamestown University received 80 points and eight first-place votes to earn the top ranking.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo defeated Valley City State University, 64-45, at R.W. Beggs Senior Gymnasium on Saturday. Ethan Haberman (SR/La Crosse, Wis.)n and Jared Fleischmann (SR/Marshfield, Wis.) combined for 36 points in the game. The V-Hawks have now won four straight North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) games.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo defeated Dakota State University, 68-59, at R.W. Beggs Sr. Gymnasium on Friday. Four V-Hawks scored at least 11 points and the team hit seven three-pointers. Viterbo has won three straight conference games and is now tied for fifth in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) standings.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo lost to Dakota State University, 81-62, at R.W. Beggs Sr. Gymnasium on Friday. The V-Hawks rebounded well offensively and were aggressive on defense, which led to 25 turnovers by Dakota State. Four V-Hawks finished in double figures.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Viterbo cruizes to a 93-69 victory over Presentation College at the Strode Center on Saturday. The V-Hawks took a margin of victory of over 20 points for the third time this season. Viterbo has now won three of the last four games and is a perfect 5-0 against Presentation all-time. The V-Hawks improved to an overall record of 10-8 and 2-4 in NSAA play. The Saints fell to an overall record of 8-10 and 2-5 in conference play.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Viterbo lost to Presentation College, 62-60, at the Strode Center on Saturday. The V-Hawks led by nine points with 5:15 left in the game. The Saints tied the game at 58-58 with just over two minutes remaining and took the final lead with 0:17 left. Madison Doerr (SO/Trempealeau, Wis.) led the V-Hawks in scoring and finished with double-digit points for the fourth time this season.

MAYVILLE, N.D. – Viterbo fell to Mayville State University, 89-69, at Lewy Lee Fieldhouse on Friday. Four V-Hawks finished in double figures, led by a double-double by Cade Anderson (JR/Sparta, Wis.) (11 points and 11 rebounds). Viterbo drops to an overall record of 9-8 and 1-4 in NSAA play on the season. Mayville State improves to an overall record of 10-3 and 5-1 in conference play.

MAYVILLE, N.D. – Viterbo lost to No. 23 Mayville State University, 68-59, at Lewy Lee Fieldhouse on Friday. Alyssa Nilssen (SO/Wilson, Wis.) was one rebound shy of her fifth double-double of the season. The V-Hawks fall to an overall record of 4-13 and 1-4 in NSAA play on the season. The Comets (ranked in Dec. 12 NAIA Women's Basketball Top-25 Coaches' Poll) improved to an overall record of 12-4 and 4-2 in conference play.

[Men's Basketball] V-Hawks Sprint Past Mount Mercy

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo defeated Mount Mercy University, 86-73, at R.W. Beggs Senior Gymnasium on Saturday. The V-Hawks led by 30 points midway through the second half and scored over 85 points for the sixth game this season. The two teams split the season series 1-1. Mount Mercy won the previous matchup, 96-76 on November 1.
