VITERBO STUDENTS WIN $10,000 RATH DISTINGUISHED SCHOLARSHIPS

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University students Cassandra Slagle and Kate Flood have been named recipients of $10,000 Rath Distinguished Scholarships for the 2006-07 academic year.

Slagle is a biology major from Steuben, Wis. Flood is dietetics major from Westboro, Wis.

Rath scholars are outstanding students who have combined high academic achievement with leadership and community service. A one-time scholarship, it is made possible by a gift from the foundation of the late Duane Rath, a businessman who was one of the first and only business owners in the nation to offer tuition assistance to all children of employees.
