RECORD NUMBER OF GRADUATE STUDENTS AT VITERBO JULY 10-14, COMMENCEMENT JULY 14
LA CROSSE, Wis. – A record number of 504 teachers will be on the Viterbo University campus July10-14 to present their research projects and complete the final requirements to earn a Master of Arts in Education degree.
Commencement will be held Friday, July 14 at 2 p.m. in the La Crosse Center. Viterbo faculty member Tom Thibodeau will give the commencement address, and new president Rick Artman will confer the degrees.
Local educators, administrators, and alumni, are invited to attend an address by featured speaker Jamie Vollmer July 14 at 9 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre on the Viterbo campus. Vollmer is a former businessman and attorney who now works to strengthen community support for public schools and build professional pride among America’s educators. His presentations are uplifting, intelligent, and entertaining.
“Viterbo has one of the largest professional development master’s degree programs for teachers in the nation,” said Shirley Frick, director of graduate studies in education. “In addition to their studies, the students also have the opportunity to explore everything La Crosse has to offer.”
