“FIRED UP FOR SCIENCE: HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES AND
EXPERIMENTS FOR YOUTH” AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY APRIL 12

CROSSE, Wis. – Area school-aged youth and their parents are invited to attend
“Fired Up for Science: Hands-on Experiences and Experiments for Youth” from 6–8
p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Viterbo University.
“Fired
Up for Science” will feature “cool” science demonstrations, hands-on participation,
and a science show that will feature a rocket launch, experiments with liquid
nitrogen, and demonstrations involving intense flames and explosions in a
controlled environment.
“The
evening will give students and their parents the chance to get excited about
science,” said Tammy Clark, Viterbo science department faculty member. “The
show and experiments will appeal to all ages.”
The
event will be held in Viterbo’s D.B. Reinhart Center for Ethics, Science, and
Leadership and is presented by Viterbo science faculty members and students in
the Science Outreach Club. It is free and open to the public and registration
is not required.
