VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO HOST DANCE INTENSIVE FEATURING JUMP RHYTHM JAZZ PROJECT 

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center will host a dance intensive featuring Jump Rhythm Jazz Project of Chicago Monday, July 9–Friday, July 13.

Jump Rhythm Jazz Project was part of the Viterbo University 2009–10 Bright Star Season. Two instructors from the company will return to Viterbo to teach at the intensive, which is open to students in grades eight-adult and will feature classes in Alexander Technique, Tap, Ballet, Music Theatre, and Jump Rhythm Jazz Techniquetm.

“The intensive will serve students interested in exploring the use of the body as an instrument of expression and storytelling through dance and movement,” said Nikki Balsamo, Viterbo dance program coordinator.

Participants have the option to stay on the Viterbo campus or to commute. Early bird tuition for participants staying on campus is $475 and $325 for commuters. The early bird registration deadline is May 1. After May 1, tuition is $525 for residential tuition and $375 for commuter tuition.

The final deadline for registration is Tuesday, June 19.
