VITERBO UNIVERSITY WINTER COMMENCEMENT DEC. 17
LA CROSSE, Wis. – One hundred thirty-seven students will be candidates for graduation at Viterbo University’s winter commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Of the candidates for graduation, 109 are undergraduate students, 19 are graduate students, and nine are association degree students.
Barbara Gayle, vice president for academic affairs, will serve as master of ceremonies and Katlyn O’Reilly, a marketing major from La Crescent, will give the student address. Kathy Duerwachter, director of alumni relations, will give the alumni welcome.
President Rick Artman will confer the degrees and Keith Knutson, chair of the faculty council, will present the candidates. Diplomas will be awarded by President Artman and Mary Ann Gschwind, FSPA, chair of the Board of Trustees. Sr. Gschwind will also provide congratulatory remarks and Viterbo chaplain Father Conrad Targonski, OFM, will give the benediction.
The day will begin with a Master Degree Hooding Ceremony at 8 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. A Baccalaureate Mass will be held at 9 a.m. in Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent. Fr. Targonski will preside at the liturgy. A BSN Completion Program Pinning Ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. immediately following the commencement ceremony in San Damiano Chapel.
